    WDW CMC Classification testing dates.

    We have developed a schedule for the Classification Assessment program for 2024.  Following are the dates that have been selected:

     Computer Ride Show Technician Classification Assessment

    • February 28, 2024
    • TBD – pending depletion of candidate pool

     Area Ride Show Technician Classification Assessment and Facility Industrial Technician Classification assessment

    • June 5, 2024
    • December 4, 2024                               

    Information regarding how to register for the Assessment will be sent to the areas four weeks prior to each Assessment date. Please ensure your Cast Members are aware of these dates so they can plan accordingly. 

                                                                                                                                                         

    Area Mech Facility Industrial Tech (FIT) and Area Ride Show Tech (RST):

    PLEASE READ ALL OF THIS INFORMATION BEFORE REGISTERING

    Through a joint effort of WDW and the IBEW Local Union 606, an Area Ride Show Tech (RST) / Facilities Industrial Technician (FIT) test has been developed.  The next RST / FIT assessment will be offered on all three shifts; exact location and times are yet to be determined.  You will have up to 90 minutes to complete the test, and will be paid for the time you are testing. The Facilities Industrial Technician Test has a total of 50 questions, which address the following:

                                        Math                            Electrical/Electronics

                                        PLC                             HVAC Controls

                                        Reading Schematics    Kitchen Equipment

                                        BGM                           Lighting and Motor Controls

    IMPORTANT: Cast Members with a status of Area Mechanic/Electrician in Attractions, Parks Support, Resorts, Disney Springs, Sports Complex, Water Parks and Central Shops are eligible to take this test.  To pass the Facilities Industrial Technician Test, a grade of 70% will be required. 

    Registration will open in November.  No late sign-ups will be allowed. 

    Any Cast Member requesting a schedule change must request that change immediately from their Service Manager upon registering for the best possibility of accommodating the request.

    In order to take the test, you must have a picture ID with you on the day of your test.  Failure to present this piece of identification will restrict you from taking the test.

    Computer Ride Show Tech (CRST):

    Through a joint effort of WDW and the IBEW Local Union 606, a Computer Ride Show Tech (CRST) test has been developed.  The next CRST assessment will be offered on all three shifts; exact location and times are yet to be determined. You will have up to three hours to complete the assessment, and will be paid for the time you are testing. The CRST Test has a total of 100 questions, which address the following:

    Math                Electrical/Electronics

    PLC                 Computer

    Animation       Reading Schematics

    Video              Theory

    Controls          Audio

                                       

    Cast Members with a status of Ride and Show Technician are eligible to take this assessment.  Cast Members currently with a status of Monorail Systems Technicians, Computer Systems Technicians, Projectionist, Laundry Systems Mechanics, and Facilities Industrial Technicians must have passed the RST Assessment to be eligible to take the CRST Assessment.  To pass the CRST Assessment, a minimum grade of 70% will be required.

    When registering, provide the following information:

                            First and last name                  Current position title

                                        Personnel number                   Work Location           

    Union Seniority date              Shift / Days off

          Work phone number

    If you do not know this information, contact your service manager for assistance before you register. Only the Cast Member wanting to take the test can email to sign up. No late sign-ups will be allowed.  In order to take the test, you must present a picture ID.  Failure to present this piece of identification will restrict you from taking the test.

    Please understand that once you have passed the assessment, you will not automatically be placed in this classification. Currently all CRST positions are filled, and by passing the test you will be placed in the CRST candidate pool.  Once positions are available, current CRST Cast Members will be able to post by union seniority.  If no CRST takes the position then it may be offered, by union seniority, to Cast Members who are active in the CRST candidate pool.
