IBEW Local Union 606 has been notified that a member who attended the General meeting on 12-21-2021 at 7:00pm has tested positive for COVID-19 after experiencing flu like symptoms. Everyone that attended the meeting should consider themselves as exposed. Because the recommended quarantine period is two weeks, the next General meeting will be held on Tuesday January 18th at 7:00pm. We will plan to resume the regularly scheduled meetings in February. Please review the CDC information below or visit their website at www.cdc.gov
The CDC recommends to quarantine if you have been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19, unless you have been fully vaccinated. People who are fully vaccinated do NOT need to quarantine after contact with someone who had COVID-19 unless they have symptoms. However, fully vaccinated people should get tested 5-7 days after their exposure, even if they don’t have symptoms and wear a mask indoors in public for 14 days following exposure or until their test result is negative.
