2009 Classification Testing Schedule

Looking forward to next year, we have developed a schedule for the Classification Assessment program for 2009. Following are the dates we have scheduled:

Computer Ride Show Technician Classification Assessment

§  January 14, 2009

§  July 15, 2009

Facilities Industrial Technician Classification Assessment

Area Ride Show Technician Classification Assessment

§  March 18, 2009

§  September 2, 2009

These dates, all on Wednesdays, are scheduled well in advance to enable your Cast Members to be aware prior to requesting their vacations and personal holidays in 2009.  These dates are firmly in place and should not change.  Information regarding how to sign up for the assessment will be sent to the areas four weeks prior to each assessment date. Please make sure your Cast Members are aware of these dates so they can plan accordingly.

In an agreement with the Company and the Unions, Cast Members who fail any assessment more than three (3) times, will be required to complete skill enhancement training to be eligible to retake the assessment.  The content of the training will be mutually agreed by the Company and the Unions.  Cast Members who have already failed a classification assessment more than once prior to the ratification of the collective bargaining agreement will be allowed one (1) additional opportunity to test.  If the Cast Member fails the classification assessment, they will be required to complete skill enhancement training to be eligible to retake the assessment.

Thank you for your assistance with this communication.
